The branch has a new Equalities Officer for Black Members, Ebrahim Piperdy, who was elected at the annual general meeting on 16 February.
The branch sends delegates to the London Region Black Members Annual General Meeting which is held in the autumn each year. The Black Members AGM elects members to the London Region Black Members Committee which meets 4 times a year to discuss and action the Black Members annual work programme, the branch can send six delegates.
At this year's AGM on 9 September branch member Fodday Kabba was elected to the London Region Black Members Committee.
In October each year the London Region Black Members Committee organises events for Black History Month.
The branch sends delegates to UNISON's Black Members Conference held in January/February each year.
